What I do
I am a freelance writer, primarily of personal essays that explore identity, sexuality, mental health and culture. Some bylines include Stylist, gal-dem, Sleek Mag, Bad Form, and Time Out.
I am the co-host of CLOSE-UP with Aurelia Magazine, a warm, funny and often existential podcast that gets personal. Our first season is now streaming on all platforms, with our second coming soon.
I have been a host and a speaker for various in-person and virtual events. Selected clients: Sevenstore and Nike, gal-dem, White Claw, I Like Networking, and Manchester International Festival.
I also host my own events regularly, surrounding the art of personal writing, storytelling and getting to the heart of who we are and what we feel.
I was really pleased to be a longlist judge for The Portico Prize, and a panel guest for clients such as Comma Press and Writing on the Wall. I have also spoken about gendered violence for BBC News.
